General information
- Short Summary
- Dutch SME specializing in AI-driven solutions for the sustainable energy sector develops a AI-powered knowledge assistant that is designed to support both Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and renewable energy installers by making complex technical knowledge instantly accessible to customer support employees, field technicians or customers. The company seeks OEM's or installers to test and further develop their software in the framework of a Eurostars subsidy.
- Full Description
-
A Dutch SME is developing a conversational AI troubleshooting tool that enables installers and technicians in the sustainable energy sector to work more efficiently. The AI ingests knowledge from manuals, instruction videos, and expert databases, providing real-time, contextual support to technicians in the field.
Primarily they serve OEMs by helping them streamline customer support. Their AI platform integrates with internal technical documentation, allowing customer service teams—or even AI-powered chatbots—to provide more effective assistance. This results in improved response times, reduced support costs, and a better customer experience.
With this Eurostars project, the company aims to enhance their AI-driven knowledge assistant by integrating advanced natural language processing (NLP) techniques and improving search algorithms for technical documentation. To achieve this, the company seeks research and development partners with technical knowledge management challenges in the energy sector. Together you will build an energy industry specific AI-solution that unlocks technical knowledge during installations and maintenance. - Advantages and Innovations

Partner Sought
- Expected Role of a Partner
-
As part of the consortium, Chapter expects the OEM/installer partner to serve as a high-intensity implementation and validation partner throughout the project. The OEM/installer will play a critical role in ensuring that the solution is tested and refined in real-world conditions and aligned with the operational realities of product manufacturers/installers in the renewable energy and HVAC sector. Specifically, Chapter expects the following contributions from the OEM partner:
1. Active Product Usage
The OEM will implement Chapter's AI platform across relevant departments (e.g. technical support, installer enablement, product documentation), allowing for intensive real-world usage of the system.
2. Dedicated Project Resources
The OEM will allocate a substantial number of internal FTEs to participate in the project, including personnel from support, product management, and training functions.
3. Structured Feedback & Co-Development
The OEM will provide qualitative and quantitative feedback through regular questionnaires, deep-dive sessions, and roadmap co-creation workshops. This will help guide iterative product development and ensure the platform delivers measurable value in OEM workflows.
4. Testing New Features
The OEM will participate in early access programs for new functionalities and serve as a primary pilot environment for improvements and new AI capabilities. - Type and Size of Partner
