General information
- Short Summary
- The technology offered by the Hungarian microenterprise is based on a high-performance, multi-channel, liquid-controlled ejector. The ejector can be used as a stand-alone vacuum generator to evacuate gas or vapour, and is operatively connected to a distillation tank and a heat exchanger, where a heat pump effect starts distillation of the raw water and produces distilled water and sludge at the other end. The company seeks technical, R&D, and investment cooperation.
- Full Description
-
The Hungarian company is offering the following device for further development and is looking for partners for its production. The operating principle of the high-temperature heat pump based, ejector-driven, water purification/vacuum distillation equipment is based on the recovery of the condensation (la-tent) heat of the evaporating steam (vapor re-compression). The main parts of the equipment: (1) water-driven ejector, (2) heat exchanger, (3) evaporation tank, (4) motive pump (5) operation fluid tank. By starting the pump, the ejector reaches its operation condition. The ejector creates vacuum at the suction end and atmospheric or higher than atmospheric pressure at the discharge end of it. The suction nozzle of the ejector is connected to the evaporator, creating a vacuum in it. As a result of the vacuum in the evaporator, the water begins to boil, the formation of steam begins, which is sucked out by the ejector from the evaporator. The extracted steam meets and mixes with the motive fluid and condenses after being transferred to the atmospheric/super-atmospheric pressure area (operation liquid tank). The released condensation heat is transferred by the heat exchanger to the water in the evaporating tank, due to which the steam formation becomes more intense and the temperature starts to rise. The heart of the device is the high-performance liquid-driven ejector, which can simultaneously create a strong vacuum, extract a sufficient amount of steam and atmospheric pressure on the outlet side. The equipment can be used for cleaning sewage, raising the temperature of thermal waters (high temperature heat pump), producing drinking water from seawater, any other vacuum distillation task, concentration for food industry, in an energy-efficient way. The only energy introduced to the system is the electrical energy of the motive pump. Depending on the design of the equipment, 20-75kW of electrical energy is required to produce 1m3 of distilled water. The efficiency of the equipment largely depends on the design of the evaporator and the efficiency of the motive pump.
The main focus of the project is the sea water desalinization, but any alternative usage would be interesting where the ejector can be used: gas evacuation and gas compression, refrigerator efficiency improvement, water distilling, general vacuum distillation, vacuum drying, liophylization, general vacuum service, gas absorption. The technology owner is open to research and development, investment cooperation, license agreements and/or commercial agreements with technical assistance. - Advantages and Innovations
- High efficiency water distillation. Low investment and maintenance costs compared to reverse osmosis water purifiers. Easy to combine with solar energy. Low maintenance requirements. The only moving part is the motor pump. High temperature heat pump, vacuum technology, gas extraction, hazardous gas extraction. Improves refrigerator performance by 25%.
