General information
- Short Summary
- A Finnish SME has developed luminescence material based on synthetic hackmanite that reacts ultraviolet (UV) light. It can be used in various UV-responsive applications, like consumer products, safety devices and UV index indicators. The Finnish SME is searching for a partner who leads the product integration and commercialisation under research and development cooperation and/or commercial agreement with technical assistance.
- Full Description
-
A Finnish research-based SME has developed a new sustainable luminescent material based on synthetic hackmanite that reacts to UV (ultraviolet) light. This material is fully synthetic, non-toxic, recyclable, and environmentally friendly. The material is a powder, it can be mixed for example with liquids or gels.
It is highly customizable and can be used in various UV-responsive applications, including consumer products, safety devices, and UV index indicators.
The material can change color when exposed to sunlight or artificial UV sources, making it ideal for applications such as UV exposure warning systems, invisible inks, and security features. The material's performance can be optimized for specific use cases, providing flexibility for different industries. The material is protected by global patent families.
The company is looking for partners to collaborate in developing commercial products using its synthetic hackmanite powder. The Finnish SME handles development and optimization of the powder itself, but needs a partner to integrate this material into various applications.
The ideal partner would assist in applying the hackmanite powder in their product lines or explore new potential uses for UV-responsive materials.
The type of partnership could be a research and development cooperation agreement and/or a commercial agreement with technical assistance, where the Finnish SME provides the material and expertise in its optimization, and the partner leads the product integration and commercialization efforts. - Advantages and Innovations
