General information

Short Summary
A Unified Approach to Enhancing Data Connectivity for Sustainable and Secure Food Supply Chain.

The objective of this initiative is to improve data connectivity to ensure a sustainable and secure food supply chain. The main focus is on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) involved in food production located in the rural regions of North West Europe.

This application process consists of two stages. The initial stage necessitates only a verbal confirmation of participation on January 16, 20
Full Description
The primary aim is to enhance collaboration and facilitate data sharing by creating digital frameworks that enable smooth data exchange among various participants in the food supply chain, ranging from farmers to retailers. This initiative will tackle significant obstacles related to data sharing and interoperability within the food supply industry, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

What issues is your project tackling in the New Territories?

The food supply chains in Northwest Europe are influenced by a myriad of factors, such as geopolitical conflicts, climate change, increasing inflation, and obstacles to digital transformation. These challenges intensify vulnerabilities within the supply chain, disrupt both food production and distribution, and impede the implementation of innovative solutions.
Advantages and Innovations
Enhanced resilience in the supply chain will be realized through the advancement of data integration, improved collaboration among supply chain partners, and a heightened capacity to address disruptions. The participation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in global markets will increase as these businesses will be provided with the necessary tools to actively participate in and gain advantages from global opportunities. Furthermore, sustainable practices within the supply chain will become more prevalent, supported by the incorporation of tools that emphasize sustainability.
