Full Description
Created and owned by fishermen since 1987, this French cooperative based in Normandy, on the Channel coast, processes and deep-freezes seafood products.

Specialising in the processing of locally caught shellfish, it also works with fish and cephalopods, including the following:

- The real scallop, "Pecten maximus", much appreciated for its flesh and coral
- The scallop "Aequipecten opercularis", a mollusc that is very similar to the scallop, but smaller.
- Spisula ovalis", also known as the "white clam". This oval-shaped clam has a smooth white shell, succulent, high-quality flesh and a slightly iodised flavour.
- The clam, also known as the "Venus verrucosa", averages 4.5 cm in size and can grow to 7 cm when fully grown.
- The almond, "Glycymeris glycymeris", is a shellfish with a diameter of 4 to 6 cm.
- The pink clam has a thick, whitish shell with pink, red or brown markings.

- Mussels are bivalve molluscs. The "Mytilus edulis" species has a blackish colour with bluish highlights. The maximum size of this species is 8 cm.
- The whelk is a marine gastropod mollusc whose foot is the edible part of the animal.
- The periwinkle is a gastropod mollusc characterised by its small size, between 2.5 cm and 4 cm. Its shell is grey, blackish or greenish.
- The cuttlefish "Sepia officinalis" is a mollusc that varies in size from 20 to 30 cm.
- The squid is a mollusc.
- Sea bream, "Spondyliosoma cantharus", is a fish measuring 30 to 40 cm in length, and can reach 60 cm.
- Common sole, Solea vulgaris, has an elongated body and can reach up to 70 cm in length and weigh up to 3 kg.
- Pout, Trisopterus luscus, is a fish with fine, delicate flesh.
- The dogfish, also known as "Scyliorhinus canicula", is a harmless, light beige shark with brown spots. It can measure up to 80 cm in length and weigh less than 1 kg.
- Pollack, known as "Pollachius pollachius", with a minimum marketable size of 30 cm. This fish has fine, very tasty flesh.
- Whiting has a slender body and can reach a size of 35 cm when mature.
- The skate, otherwise known as the "flattened shark", is a fish with a distinctive flat body and wing-like fins. The species most commonly found in Normandy are the curly skate, the brown skate, the smooth skate, the soft skate and the mixed skate.

This complete range of products is made up of species fished in the Western and Eastern Channel. In addition, the cooperative has a selection of eco-certified and labelled fish products.
The freshness of the raw materials is guaranteed thanks to the immediate proximity of the sea.
The in-house transport service ensures that logistics are under control and that the cold chain for supplies is respected.

Two production lines carry out all the processing and packaging operations for the finished products.
One line is dedicated specifically to shellfish shucking and shellfish meat freezing, with the main stages in the production process being steam shucking, shell/meat separation, sorting, crusting, freezing and/or deep-freezing, packaging and storage at negative temperature before dispatch.
A second line is dedicated to products that are worked and processed by hand (fish, cephalopods, scallops, etc.) as well as deep-freezing services (seafood products).

In order to expand its activity abroad, especially in Europe, the cooperative would like to identify new partners through commercial agreements. They are expected to be wholesalers, importers, distributors involved in the agrofood sector. It could be specialised distributors for HORECA or large and medium-sized stores.
Advantages and Innovations
The cooperative's equipment is designed to meet specific requirements:
- Know-how and technical equipment made available to customers to meet their specifications.
- On-demand processing, shelling, filleting, deep-freezing and packaging services tailored to customers' needs.
- A price study adjusted to the content of the service.

The company is certified (depending on the product):
- Label Rouge: the only official sign guaranteeing a higher quality than that of standard products of the same type (higher quality guaranteed by the requirements defined in the specifications; this is regularly verified by sensory tests carried out with panels of consumers and/or expert juries).

- French flag: a French flag product is a fish, shellfish or crustacean that has been caught at sea by a boat flying the French flag. Its optimum freshness is guaranteed by specifications that are regularly checked at every stage by all the links in the chain.

- MSC: "Marine Stewardship Council" is a global non-profit organisation whose mission is to improve the health of oceans and fish stocks. The MSC fisheries standard is based on 3 principles: sustainable fish stocks, minimised environmental impact and effective fisheries management.

- Normandie FraƮcheur Mer: group of fishermen, auctioneers and wholesalers in Normandy, whose aim is to promote the Normandy fishing industry and the quality and sustainability of its products.

- IGP: Protected Geographical Indication. This indication designates a product whose characteristics are linked to the geographical area in which it is produced or processed under specific conditions. It is a European sign that protects the name of the product throughout the European Union.
