General information

Short Summary
French deeptech startup dedicated to de-risking natural hydrogen exploration through the development of advanced detection technology is seeking partnerships with manufacturers capable of providing highly accurate and selective hydrogen sensors to integrate into our prototype. Through collaboration, the company aims to develop new tools for hydrogen exploration which will contribute to faster commercialization of this valuable resource.
Full Description
The aim of the French deeptech start-up, which develops hydrogen detectors for natural hydrogen exploration, is to improve the detection of natural hydrogen leaks in the field by offering an easy-to-use, accurate and selective hydrogen detector.
The company leverages years of experience in detection of natural hydrogen and developed innovative ideas to address challenges in the detection of seepages of natural hydrogen.
They are seeking manufacturers of highly accurate and selective hydrogen sensors to integrate into our prototype. These sensors should demonstrate good selectivity for hydrogen with robustness over time to face natural conditions.
Its detectors will be utilized in the exploration of natural hydrogen sources, supporting explorationists in the identification and assessment of hydrogen potentiality in their asset.
Current hydrogen detection methods lack the required precision and selectivity for effective natural hydrogen exploration. The comany's goal is to overcome these limitations by partnering with manufacturers capable of providing cutting-edge hydrogen sensing technology.
The company is also looking for partners with expertise in the development and production of hydrogen detectors with having high accuracy and selectivity. They are open to various forms of partnership, including collaboration agreements, joint ventures, and technology licensing.
The company welcomes discussions with manufacturers who share its vision for advancing hydrogen detection capabilities.
Advantages and Innovations
Natural hydrogen detectors for field exploration are yet in their early phase of development. The company's solution will:

- Ensure accurate detection of soil leakage and avoid false positive results for the users.
- Offering immediate alerts upon hydrogen emission real-time monitoring.
- Be adapted for diverse environmental conditions for field use ensuring reliable performance over extended periods.

Economic benefits from its natural hydrogen field detector:
- Reduce exploration cost during field survey.
- Reduce time consuming of exploration phase for the geoscientists.
- Provide accurate and reliable data for hydrogen field assessment.

Environmental and Social benefits from its natural hydrogen field detector:
- Promoting clean and affordable natural hydrogen market to mitigate climate change.
- Providing data to environmental institution of hydrogen emission to the atmosphere that should improve in climate model accuracy.
- Detect in real-time any hydrogen leakage to minimize risk of explosion.

The few products on the market today require a great deal of effort to install and verify the quality of measurements. The company will try to overcome these shortcomings with its product.

IPR description
The company is seeking sensor manufacturers capable of providing highly precise and selective hydrogen sensors for integration into our prototype. They are looking for sensors capable of covering a resolution range from ppb, ppm to %, and ideally selective only to hydrogen and/or that have post-processing capabilities capable of discriminating hydrogen from all other gases present. The company is aware that a single sensor will not be able to cover the whole range, and they are open to any proposals that may be made.

Once the company have developed its product, it will be able to order larger quantities of sensors if it fits with their requirements. Manufacturers should be able to provide comprehensive technical documentation, including datasheets, specifications, and testing reports, to ensure the suitability of their sensors for company's application.

Offers that do not meet company's minimum requirements for accuracy, selectivity, and environmental compatibility would not be acceptable, as those lacking comprehensive technical documentation.

Partner Sought

Expected Role of a Partner
The company is primarily seeking partnerships with sensor manufacturers specializing in the design, development and production of hydrogen sensing technology with high accuracy and selectivity specifications.
However, the French start-up is also open to collaborations with research organizations, academic institutions, and technology developers with expertise in sensor development and environmental monitoring, particularly with those focused on enhancing detection capabilities and improving sensor performance in challenging environmental conditions.
Partnering sensor manufacturer would be responsible to provide their existing technology to be tested in the company's prototype and/or tailor an hydrogen sensor to its specific requirements (accuracy, selectivity and comptability). This may involve customization of existing sensor designs or the development of novel sensing technologies. Partners will be expected to conduct rigorous performance testing of the developed sensors to ensure they meet its performance criteria.
Partners should provide comprehensive technical support throughout the partnership, including assistane with sensor integration, calibration and troubleshooting, but also detailed technical documentation (datasheet, specifications, testing report...).
R&D organization partners may contribute to collaborative research projects focused on sensor development and optimization.
Upon successful testing and validation, partners will be responsible for the supply and the production of the required quantity of sensor for integration into the company's prototype (ensuring quality control measures).
In cases where partners have proprietary sensor technologies or intellectual property, technology licensing agreements may be considered to gain access to relevant sensor designs or manufacturing processes.
