- The Greek manufacturing SME has experience of 40 years in the production of high quality wooden beehive boxes and recently came up with a multifunctional base solution. The multifunctional base comes out in two versions and it is certified plus patented. Therefore, the Greek manufacturing SME would like to expand into further markets and is looking for new collaborations in beekeeping sector under commercial agreement with technical assistance.

The multifunctional base for beehive boxes is designed in order to provide ease of use and boost time management. It comes out in two versions:
- Lahgstroth Cell Version with Dimensions 417X507mm,
- Dadant Cell Version with Dimensions 425Χ495mm.
The multifunctional base is made out of plastic and it carries a security sink at its top surface. The perforated bottom of the base has holes with a large opening (from the underside) to avoid any effect from the impurities of the hive. Furthermore, the plastic multifunctional base reinforces the physical restrain along the left-right-back-back cell. It is flexible and it has adjustable connectors.
In addition, the base has two entrances and four doors which are always embedded in the hive. Plugs are integrated and they can open automatically very easily at any time. (a) The two small doors have 0.8cmX0.9cm holes for safety reasons, to ensure that mites do not pass and (b) the other doors are used for transport.
The corners of the base have rounded edges for more convenient transport. The base is round, in a style of cardoon with four legs for stability, likewise the wooden hive. Last but not least, the flexible base has a sloping down system to collect rain waters and a smooth landing place for bees. - Advantages and Innovations
