Full Description
The Culinary Club is a non-profit organization based in Ioannina, Greece. It was founded in 2008 by a team passionate about traditional Greek cuisine, particularly from the Epirus region.

The Club's main focus is on researching, discovering, enhancing, and promoting traditional recipes, techniques, and forgotten raw materials from the western side of mainland Greece. It aims to transfer new knowledge and experiences to its members and promote local traditional gastronomy abroad. Sustainability is a key principle, emphasized through practices like "head to tail" in meat usage and "leave no trace" for outdoor activities.

The Club collaborates with local producers, restaurants, caterers, gastronomes, and wine experts, both within Greece and internationally. These partnerships have helped the Club gain recognition as a significant cultural institution in Greece and beyond. They also work with educational and cultural organizations, contributing to the culinary development of a new generation that appreciates traditional cuisine.

Key milestones in the organization's history include organizing symposiums, participating in TV shows, collaborating on international projects, winning awards, and publishing books on culinary history. Their activities also involve hosting gastronomic events, engaging in research and cultural projects, and promoting traditional local gastronomy.

The organization's team comprises individuals with diverse expertise in management, chemistry, tourism, economics, mental health, and psychology. They have engaged in various European Union projects and collaborations with international institutions.

In summary, the organization is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich culinary heritage of the western region of mainland Greece through research, collaboration, education, and cultural events. Their efforts extend beyond Greece, making an impact on the global stage in the realm of gastronomy and cultural preservation.
