General information

Short Summary
A Greek SME has developed and is offering a patented, innovative, capable of being navigated in GPS-denied environments and with the longest flight times and largest payload capacity in the 55lbs/25kg class, purely electric drone helicopter with fully redundant design. The company is looking for commercial agreements with technical assistance with end-users such as emergency services, defense industry, logistics, HSE engineers and officers especially in mining and the oil and gas industry etc.
Full Description
The company was established 10 years ago in Peloponnese and has developed many patented, innovative drone helicopters with fully redundant design and several customisation options tailored to the needs and wants of each individual customer. Some of the key features that distinguish this particular drone helicopter from competition include the longest flight times and largest payload capacity in the 55lbs/25kg class as well as the ability to use encrypted mesh data networks for uncompromised communications.

The company has already sold 200 helicopters in over 20 countries with excellent feedback from its customers and a track record for 100% reliability even under severe weather and other adverse conditions (the helicopter drone has already been deployed and successfully carried out intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance warfare missions in Ukraine). The main targets for the next 5 years are to expand its customer base, open up to new markets and achieve exponential business growth.

The drone helicopter can have numerous industry and commercial as well as military applications. For example, it can be used by transport companies that want to use unmanned cargo aerial vehicle in harsher weather conditions over longer distances. Moreover, it can be used for industrial inspections for wind turbines, power lines, pipelines, railway and other field inspections, which can be further enhanced with additional sensor equipment and thermal cameras. Furthermore, the drone helicopter can safely survey and/or patrol large populated or hazardous areas using the helicopter drone with a high resolution or thermal imaging camera. Additionally, it can monitor real-time images from a remote command center and deploy teams as needed. Delivery services can also be easily provided as the custom-designed flat payload area of the drone helicopter can be loaded and unloaded easily to securely deliver up to 12 kg of cargo to remote locations. The reliable airframe and fully redundant design also allow it to be flown safely over populated areas. Aerial video photography and geographic mapping are two other key areas of application. More specifically, the drone helicopter can be equipped with high-resolution video cameras, and the 90-minute flight time allows for greater quality and lower production cost of highly desirable aerial video footage. The drone helicopter is also equipped with LiDAR sensors which can create high-resolution 3D digital terrain models for use in civil engineering and land development projects. What is more, with the integration of magnetometer sensors, the UAV helicopter has been and can be used to detect naval and land mines, submarines and metallic structures in general. Furthermore, using thermal sensors, the drone helicopter is ideal to search vast area for missing persons or victims at night or in challenging terrains. Emergency supplies also can be deployed if otherwise unreachable. Finally, the drone helicopter can be also used in agriculture as, by using sensors and other equipment such as spectroscopes and HD cameras, it can gather data needed for crop monitoring, soil analysis and other conditions.
Advantages and Innovations
The unique selling points and technological features of the specific drone helicopter can be summarised in the following: Automatic take-off and landing; preparation and deployment in less than 10 minutes (this time is significantly lower than the vast majority of competitors in the market can achieve); navigation in GPS-denied environment which is ideal in warfare situations; ability of simultaneous control from two different points.

Other key advantages include the longest flight times & the largest payload capacity in the 55lbs/25 kg class; encrypted data transmission at distances up to 50 km as well as the ability to adapt payload capacity to meet the individual needs of the customer. Finally, the drone helicopter has great stability in high-wind environment and under severe weather conditions, which outperforms competition. It is purely electric, with a twin engine and a fully redundant design.

The engineering redundancy and helicopter form factor make it a superior choice for organizations that want to use unmanned aerial vehicle in harsher weather conditions over longer distances without the complexities of fixed-wing vertical take-off landing operations. As already mentioned, some of the drone helicopters of the company have been successfully carrying out missions in Ukraine for over a year now. The North Korean coast guard is also a loyal customer and relies on this helicopter for surveillance and security forces training. Another key area of use is in the transportation of human organs. As a matter of fact, the longer UAV time flights that this drone helicopter can achieve compared to competitors is deemed critical for the successful transferring of human organs. It has been also used for LiDAR scanning in the Norwegian Alps under severe weather conditions of minus 10 degrees Celcius and wind gusts of 20m/sec., demonstrating remarkable resilience and reliability. In the words of a Chief Pilot, "it is truly tested in the most extreme conditions".
