Short Summary
With much professional experience and knowledge on the development of primarily dairy products and processing technologies, the Hungarian research institute offers R&D services to the development of new food products and processes also for the vegan and other food sectors. A well-equipped pilot production plant facilitates trials and dairy product development.
Full Description
Besides extensive laboratory services that cover physical, chemical, and microbiological examinations, the institute is engaged in the development of production technologies for advanced products (functional, low fat, low energy, probiotic, Ca enriched, protein-rich, lactose free etc.) for dairy and other foodstuffs.
Development projects cover the following topics:
- development of raw material and energy saving production technologies using ultra-, micro-, nanofiltration (cream cheese, protein concentrates, products based on acid whey or cheese whey, etc.),
- development of milk protein concentrates and milk protein fraction isolates using membrane filtration technology, development of a HPLC method for the quantitative measurement of milk protein fractions
- development and implementation of industrial production of milk protein isolate powder with a low lactose or low carbohydrate (˂0.5 %) content
- development of plant-based milk product alternatives,
- utilization of acid whey (by-product of tvorog) in dairy products.
The goal and mission of the institute is to develop the dairy industry, milk production, quality food products and food safety.
Their portfolio includes expert consultancy, basic and applied research of food technologies, distribution of natural ingredients and additives for the food and dietary supplements. Authorizations, production and trade of food products, dietary supplements, and formulas for medical purposes are also in our service portfolio.
The highly qualified staff with international experience ensures a strong technological and knowledge base for the participation in international R&D projects.
