They are aware of the different ways of recycling batteries and believe that direct recycling could be very efficient for India and are keen to enter into a JV/invest in a technology and partner to deploy and operate the business in India.
The company is keen to set up a greenfield operation in India in Lithium-ion Battery Recycling, especially using alternative technologies to pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy, including but not limited to direct recycling and other alternatives and innovative solutions.
The company is keen to explore a joint venture model with potential collaborators in this field.
The proposed role of Indian investor/project developer is broadly outlined but they are open to discuss the modes of collaboration:
Indian Investor and Project Developer:
a. Investment: Co-invest in the business operations in India
b. Infrastructure Development: Provide land and develop infrastructure for setting up the recycling facility in India.
c. Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the recycling facility.
d. Regulatory Compliance: Obtain necessary regulatory approvals, permits, and certifications for the business.
e. Strategic Partnerships: Forge strategic tie-ups with OEMs for the procurement of manufacturing scrap( e.g. EOL batteries) for processing in the recycling facility.
f. Stakeholder Networking: Network with all stakeholders, including government, local authorities, suppliers/vendors, and regulators, to ensure the smooth conduct of business.
Broad needs from International Technology Provider:
a. Technology and know-how transfer: Transfer technology to Indian JV/ Partner for the India market
