General information

Short Summary
The company’s objective is to advance the engineering R&D work behind its technology (currently TRL7) via research collaboration in European projects. Its capacity for upgrading industrial by-products and upcycling waste biomass can serve as a case study. The company offers its technology with a view to join R&D consortia experienced in circular economy, chemical engineering (chemical engineering, materials, manufacturing).
Full Description
Biopolyols produced can displace a fraction of conventional fossil polyols or food-competitive biopolyols at lower environmental footprint (>2x) and lower price (as low as 67% of market price). The Cypriot company remains the only one having worked with and yielded proven results by incorporating voluminous ultra-low-value waste biomass – ample residues globally, for the production of biopolyols. The technology shows promise for integration and retrofitting of existent biomass facilities into economically feasible biorefineries.
The company offers the technology/know-how with a view to join R&D consortia for Horizon Europe Cluster 5 and Cluster 6, Eurostars, and/or Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) Proposals.
Advantages and Innovations
The company's patent-pending technology represents a scalable solution capable of producing biopolyols that have less than half the footprint and cost a third less. Significant quantities of GHGs can be averted by directly displacing a fraction of the conventional or food-competitive polyols currently used in multi-billion euro polyurethane-producing industries
