The Irish SME was founded with a clear purpose: to celebrate Irish sport through fun, inclusive, and educational children’s products. It began with a simple but striking realisation — despite the deep love for Irish sports, there were very few toys or games available that reflected Irish sporting culture, especially those that appealed to both boys and girls. The SME saw this gap as an opportunity to create something original and meaningful and fun.
The SME started with one jigsaw puzzle and from there have grown to 27 and are now in the process of expanding into a full suite of products including memory games, playing cards, colouring books and more.
The business has grown rapidly in a short period of time, helped by strong word-of-mouth, media features, and enthusiastic customer feedback. One of their key differentiators is the emotional connection people have with their brand — particularly parents, grandparents, and Irish communities abroad who want their children to connect with Irish heritage in a modern, playful way.
They seek to identify a commercial agreement with a manufacturer of jigsaw puzzles, with the following criteria met:
1. Identification of a manufacturer of jigsaw puzzles that can produce to a high quality with lower minimum order quantities of 100 per design. The Irish SME have almost 30 designs currently and this is growing. They will require different quantities per design as some sell quicker than others with 100 for the slowest selling SKUs.
