General information

Short Summary
The Italian SME, founded in 1983, offers its innovative product, a nanofluid that improves the heat transfer within hydronic systems.
The product allows heat to be transferred faster and more efficiently, thus improving energy efficiency. The company is interested in establishing commercial agreements.
Full Description
The Italian innovative SME was born in 1983 and the Nanotech division in 2003. The core of the division is the development of nanotech-based solutions. In 2016 they won the Ecomondo Rimini award for an HTF (Heat Transfer Fluid) product. Since then it has been considered the only company in Europe to have created a nanofluid with the HTF characteristics.
This HTF product is a revolutionary nanofluid that improves heat transfer within hydronic systems. It rearranges the molecular structure of the fluid by improving the heat transfer rate by exploiting metal oxide nanoparticles suspended in solution.

The presence of nanoparticles increases the thermal conductivity of the nanofluid mainly due to an improved interaction within the heat transfer regions through a micro-convection mechanism (Brownian motion) of nanoparticles in the refrigerant.

Due to increased heat transfer, the product allows heat to be transferred faster and more efficiently, improving energy efficiency by up to 35% in broad applications such as HVAC or boiler systems.

The company is looking for collaborations leading to commercial agreements with possible distributors of the above described HTF product. The company is interested in distributing their product in strategic geographical areas such as Eastern Europe, Africa and South America countries.
Advantages and Innovations
The SME cooperates with several universities and research centers:
• University of Salento - Department of Engineering”
• "University of Bari-Department of Chemistry"
• "CNR-IPCF of Bari
• ENEA (National Energy Technological District)
• "DHITECH–High Tech Technological District"
Current projects:
• Horizon 2020
• HEPHESTOUS MISE
The HTF product improves the energy efficiency by up to 35% and is already distributed in 7 countries and has generated several million energy savings.
