General information

Short Summary
The company offers an innovative EU-patented feedback system for the generation and recirculation of energy with higher energy and resource efficiency, based on the Seebeck effect (temperature gradient is converted into an electric voltage).
The company is looking for EU partners interested in acquiring the technology patent or in developing the commercialisation of the technology.
Full Description
The developed feedback system for the generation and recirculation of energy comprises:
- a first portion comprising a first circuit for the recirculation of a high-temperature fluid (e.g. water)
- a second portion comprising a second circuit for the circulation of a low-temperature fluid (e.g. water)
- a third portion comprising several panels suitable for alternatively receiving the fluids coming from the first and second circuits. The panel comprises a plurality of hollow sections in thermal contact. The hollow sections are connected to a respective circuit (first circuit-high temperature or second circuit-lower temperature) to receive the respective fluid.
The temperature gradient generates an electric current by the Seebeck effect, that can be used in a defined load. The produced electrical energy is proportional to the temperature difference and to the number of used panels.

The technology is versatile for civil and industrial use and can be integrated into different systems (solar panels, biomass, geothermic, hydrogen,...).
The ideal use of the technology is integrating it with a geothermal or biomass source and for application in the industrial context.

An example of its practical use is integrating it with:
- a solar thermal plant associated with at least one boiler for heating water (higher temperature fluid)
- a tank of room temperature water (lower temperature fluid)
- an electric device to use the generated electrical energy

The technology is covered by patent: IT202200001142A1, EP4470353A1
The company is looking for EU partners interested in acquiring the technology patent or in developing the commercialisation of the technology.
Advantages and Innovations
Advantages and innovation compared to other feedback systems for the generation of energy:
- There are no rotating or moving mechanical parts => important reduction of entropy and energy load dispersions, higher efficiency
- There is the conservation of the main fluid used for the electrical energy production => higher resource efficiency
- The generated electrical energy can be reconverted in any required form (thermal, mechanic, chemical, ...)
Stage of Development
  • Available for demonstration
Sustainable Development Goals
  • Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
