Full Description
an innovative Italian food start-up company located in Naples, has created a babà without alcohol syrup. The babà is a typical Neapolitan cake saturated in syrup made with hard liquor, usually rum, and sometimes filled with whipped cream or pastry cream.
The new cake is the result of a two year market research, conducted at the Faculty of Management Engineering of the Federico II University of Naples.
the innovative babà retains its classic shape of the Neapolitan cake, has the softness of a panettone and the aromatic aftertaste of the traditional babà, without being soaked in rum, an 'alcoholic bath'.
In addition, the longer shelf life allows it to be shipped worldwide.
In May 2021, the new babà without alcohol syrup received the “Antonio Falconio 2021” Research Award for the best Innovative Enterprise at the Innovation Village event (https://innovationvillage.it/) in Naples.
All the other products, jams and spreadable creams, are all produced in Italy, with artisanal care and using only the highest quality Italian raw materials selected at origin. Every spoonful of this jam is a tribute to the delights of the Italian territory.
The company is looking for dealers abroad.
Advantages and Innovations
The classic babà is very popular all over the world but it is difficult to export for 2 reasons: it has a very short shelf life, as the product is easily perishable; it has limited tolerability and acceptability for many people, especially the elderly, children, pregnant woman and people who for religious and cultural reasons cannot consume alcoholic products.
After a market research of more than two years conducted at the Faculty of Management Engineering of the Federico II University of Naples, The company finally succeeded in making the world's first non-alcoholic babà. In addition, the longer shelf life allows it to be shipped worldwide. In addition all the other products also offers other delicious wide range of spreadable creams and jams made with top quality 100% Italian ingredients.
