Established in 2015, a Korean SME has been providing an AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) based intralogistics solution consisted of WCS(Warehouse Control System) software, MLS(Multi-Layered Stocker System), and stocker shuttle. This company outsources AMRs from 3rd party and has been starting to develop an external vision inspection, especially for semiconductor customers.
This Korean company’s proprietary WCS system featuring a versatile platform with low code and pre-configured highly customizable workflow nodes for the users. The system offers various functions such as high level of device-to-device communication, sensing, controlling, monitoring, workflow orchestration, and order management. Its WCS software is able to seamlessly integrated with existing MES (Manufacturing execution system), WMS (Warehouse management system), and ERP (Enterprise resource planning) lowering implementation costs.
Recently, the company is looking for partners with following technologies to improve its system and develop new one matched to bio and semiconductor customers.
1. Component and/or Maintenance platform with AI and AR
- When assembling equipment, this AI-based platform can recognize the next required components and automatically brings to an operator.
- In addition, when fixing or conducting maintenance of equipment, the system can identify, show, guide an operator to correctly proceed maintenance job through AR technology
2. DC servo motors for mini shuttle and AMR
- Especially requested from bio industrial customer, the Korean company is developing a robot which can carry up to 50 kg, and store materials and components in the specified rack, and transport items to designated locations under minus 20 Celsius environment.
- The Korean company is looking for cost-effective DC servo motors for this robot.
3. Lowering belt for OHT (Overhead Hoist Transport)
- The robot for OHT is expected to carry a payload of 20kg and transport goods overhead and above the ground
- When the OHT robot moves goods to ground level via a lowering belt, which is similar to a conveyor belt. The Korean company is seeking technologies or products (lowering belt) that can supply force and electricity together.
If any companies can provide such DC servo motors or lowering belt satisfying technical specification, the Korean SME is interested in employing those components under commercial agreement with technical assistance. For AI and AR platform for maintenance and assembling, Korean SME is willing to jointly develop under research and development agreement. - Stage of Development
