General information

Short Summary
A Korean SME has developed the world’s first electric tilt rotor drone for surveillance and delivery purposes. Compared to other VTOLs or multi-copter drones, this tilt rotor drone offers high wind resistance, greater flight distance, and double the flight speed. The company is seeking commercial partners
Full Description
Since 2018, as the first spin-off company from Korean representative aerospace research institute, A Korean SME has been providing the world’s first electric tilt-rotor drone which enables to take off vertically and forward flight with dual rotors.

Compared to general multi-copter drones and conventional VTOLs (Vertical Take-Off and Landing), tilt-rotor drones offer various advantages, such as high wind resistance (up to 15 m/s of wind), 4-6 times greater flight distance, and double the flight speed.

With its in-house design and manufacturing capacity, the Korean company has been customizing drones to meet various demands, such as real-time observation for surveillance purpose of police, delivering AED (Automated External Defibrillator) within 3 minutes over a radius of 5km, monitoring crop harvesting yields using a built-in camera, and more. The recently developed model can fly for up to 40 minutes over a distance of 40 km with a payload of 4 kg, and is equipped with a winch system for delivering emergency kits. All models are certified by CE and FCC.

This Korean company has launched Korea’s first commercial drone delivery service between islands and carried out a medication delivery project between hospitals. Additionally, demonstration projects have been performed in Indonesia, Kenya, RSA, Croatia and U.S.A.

The Korean SME is seeking commercial partners which handle marketing, sales, final assembly of drones, and local customer support under commercial agreement.
Advantages and Innovations
- Wind resistance up to 15m/s (compared to general VTOPs with 10ms/)

- Own design and manufacturing capability of tilt-rotor drone
- Easy operation by providing KIOSK system for drone operation
- Controlling and monitoring drones through LTE communication
- CE and FCC certification
