General information

Short Summary
A startup Maltese company, established in 2021, is dedicated to developing an innovative water leak detection and mitigation solution for the international market that could be installed easily as it is battery operated and self-charging. The company is committed to providing eco-friendly solutions with a unique value proposition. As part of its growth plan, the company is actively seeking international partners interested in collaborating with them both at technical and commercial levels.
Full Description
This ready-to-market solution is specially designed for residential households, including homeowners, summer residences, and rented apartments. It incorporates a localized context framework, specifically tailored for plumbing setups in Malta featuring two water sources, known as two-topology systems. The solution can effectively detect and identify leaks from both plumbing connected to rooftop reservoir tanks and plumbing sourced from utility water meters. It seamlessly integrates with all types of plumbing systems, regardless of age or condition. The current design that is being further developed to be self-charging and wireless uses a pressure sensor that detects a drop in pressure and thus a difference in flow consumption, a motorised valve that turns the system off when a leak is detected and a controller that alerts the owner accordingly and is being developed to be connected to Internet of Things sensors and smart plugs for smart buildings.

By strategically expanding into the B2B market, with a particular emphasis on the hospitality and healthcare sectors, the company aims to establish a leading role in advanced water leak detection solutions. By offering a solution that addresses the specific needs of these sectors, the company intends to make a significant impact, driving adoption in these industries, and contributing to their operational efficiency, cost savings, and overall peace of mind.

Currently, in the early stages of development, the company envisions having the solution available on the shelves of hardware stores both locally and abroad. The goal is to provide a product that purchasers can install without requiring any installation assistance, while also ensuring it does not require connections to electrical sources or limited to wifi access, allowing for versatile installation.
The installation of the solution provides prospective customers with a strong sense of reassurance and security. By detecting leaks at their source and automatically shutting off the water supply, the solution effectively prevents any further damage. This proactive approach significantly reduces the risk of water-related disasters, ensuring that homeowners, property managers, and occupants can enjoy a worry-free environment.
Advantages and Innovations
