General information

Short Summary
Colombian initiative dedicated to ecological accommodation, wellness experiences, environmental education and regenerative tourism seeks to collaborate with travel agencies, tourism platforms and organisations focused on sustainability, conservation and health. It proposes to establish commercial agreements for co-organisation, referrals and joint promotion of experiences focused on nature, integral health and rural development.
Full Description
Located in eastern Colombia, this family initiative integrates ecological conservation, environmental education and sustainable tourism. It emerged in 2010 as a process of restoring a degraded Andean forest, and since 2017 it has been recognised as a Civil Society Nature Reserve. In 2018, it expanded its scope to sustainable rural tourism through a lodge built with natural materials and bio-construction techniques.
The infrastructure includes ecological cabins, water treatment systems using artificial wetlands, spaces for rest and food based on local ingredients. The project has trained rural youth in sustainable construction, hospitality and experience design, strengthening the local social fabric.
It offers activities such as workshops on bio-construction with bamboo, agro-ecological gardening, healthy cooking, weaving with natural fibres and experiences of connection with nature. These activities are developed with a holistic approach that links health, environmental awareness and community participation.
The applied model responds to the principles of regenerative tourism, integrating ecological knowledge with sustainable rural practices, promoting environmental restoration, social cohesion and cultural valorisation. It has been recognised by public programmes supporting enterprises with regional and national impact.
It is currently seeking strategic alliances with sustainable tourism agencies, international operators, academic institutions, NGOs and entities interested in designing educational, conservation and wellbeing experiences with a territorial base.
Advantages and Innovations
The project stands out for its integration of conscious architecture, health and sustainability. The infrastructure is built with bamboo and local wood, under passive design principles adapted to the climate. The experiences offered combine traditional knowledge with sustainable practices in food, health and environmental education.
Responsible water management systems, use of clean energy and agro-ecological production have been implemented. The initiative includes training rural youth in conscious hospitality and conservation, generating local capacities. Its location within a nature reserve and next to a river of high water quality allows for immersive experiences with high ecological, sensory and educational value.
Technical Specification or Expertise Sought
The company is exploring partners with proven experience in ecotourism, regenerative tourism, wellness tourism, retreats, experiential travel, educational or sustainable tourism. In particular, entities that design and develop wellness and environmental education experiences based on the territory, local culture and respect for biodiversity are valued.
It is desirable that potential partners have a track record in the co-creation of tourism products that integrate environmental conservation, strengthening of rural economies and local cultural practices. Priority is given to experience in:
Design of tourism itineraries focused on nature, health and personal transformation.
Training programmes in sustainable rural tourism.
Marketing strategies for transformative experiences.
Interdisciplinary approaches linking tourism with education, health and environmental sustainability.
We are also looking for networks, agencies, NGOs or research centres that work with regenerative tourism models or initiatives for reconnecting with nature from ecological, cultural and social perspectives.
