- A Northern French energy cluster is looking to join Horizon Europe consortium (clusters 4&5) as a partner. The cluster is experienced in participating in European projects (Horizon Europe) as a partner.

Since 2011, the Northern French energy cluster converts energy transition and decarbonization into economic opportunities for companies and territories.
Our role is to support the energy sectors in the North of France from energy producers to consumers both public and private.
The structure has developed expertise in:
Energy efficiency
Decarbonization
Renewable energy
New gases: green hydrogen, biomethane, CCUS, pyrogazéification …
Smart grid
Low carbon mobility
Our mission is to be a key player in finding innovative solutions, strategic partners, fundings and grants for decarbonization projects.
At the same time, the cluster is a dedicated tool to promote, communicate and inform about regulation changes, emerging sectors and project realizations. - Advantages and Innovations

Our strenghts:
- 10 engineers experts in their domains
- 200 members: institutions, start-ups, big companies, research institutes that provides a strong local and national network in various sectors (iron & steel, aluminum, gas, glass, cement, agribusiness …)

- we have recently joined 2 European projects in 2023 (Horizon Europe) as partner, tackling industrial ecology and waste heat recovery technology.
- More than 50 companies accompanied in their decarbonization and energy transition strategy these past 2 years.
- Business model: partly financed by the Hauts-de-France region that provides a political support. More largely financed by private contracts with company we help toward energy transition and decarbonization. - Stage of Development

To serve our mission “translate the energy transition and decarbonization into economic opportunities”, we are looking to integrate projects as partner to work on workpackages like:
- Carbon footprint or life cycle analysis
- Socio-economic impact or opportunities of a new solution (SWOT / PESTEL approaches)
- Regulatory (European or national level) constraints analysis: energy efficiency directives, renewable energy directives
- Business models: what are the market / commercial opportunities (sector analysis that leads to the building of value proposition for further deployment).
- Communication and dissemination
Our technical expertise aims at serving further business expansion.
