OHB Hellas based in Athens, is a subsidiary of OHB SE, a leading German multinational group and it began operations in Greece in 2018. In addition to its headquarters in Athens, the company also maintains facilities in the Patras Industrial Area, equipped with advanced manufacturing equipment, as well as a branch office at the Science and Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C).
The core technologies on which OHB Hellas is building strong competencies are in the domain of orbital high-performance computing including artificial intelligence (AI) on-board the satellite and in modular, flexible and reusable architectures.
Technologies like High Performance Payload Computers (HPPC) coupled with a hypervisor open up new possibilities for reconfiguring satellite hardware in flight in a safe and controlled manner.
OHB Hellas brings extensive heritage in advanced manufacturing applications and technologies with expertise in industrial use case requirements. It retains experience from European Defense Fund (EDF) programs, challenges co-organized by the European Space Agency (ESA), additive and advanced manufacturing processes, various design and thermostructural analysis projects along with technical relevance studies for selected use cases.
The development team of the company consists of system engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, software and machine learning engineers and scientists with a strong background in their respective domain, relevant experience and proven research activity.
With expertise in additive manufacturing and design for manufacturing processes, OHB Hellas actively seeks European partners for collaboration under commercial agreement in the fields of defence, space, and aerospace.
