A European consortium coordinated by a Romanian Medical University based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania is writing a proposal for the EU4H-2024-PJ-03 for implementing AI solutions into medical schools and hospitals.
They are looking for medical schools and hospitals from East EU Regions (except Romania and Hungary) that work in the following areas:
Medical general or specialized schools like Universities, Colleges or nursing schools
Specialized or general hospitals and clinics - Full Description
-
The goal of MEDAI is to bring artificial intelligence into the current medical and organizational activities of the medical schools and hospitals.
MEDAI includes 2 major directions to use the AI within the medical and hospitals activities including:
Onboarding platform for medical staff and learning students in for a better personnel management – meaning: keeping up to date all the professional upgrades and the information needed to be known by the personnel, actualizing and complying with the specifications the plan of immunization shots meant to b done by the personnel involved into the medical processes and offering also a communication tool which can be used within the organization.
Patient medical journey optimization meaning all the medical investigations needed by patient situation – emergency or not – will be optimized by MEDAI bringing together all the resources optimized in such way that the patient will use the shortest path in order to be well diagnosed and treated in for giving the best path for a complete recovery in the shortest time.
The project aims to leverage on cross-country cooperation to develop a system, called MEDAI, with the aim of collecting and relating data from currently independent medical schools or hospitals, bringing together the best medical protocols developed by disconnected partners, which represent potential complementary elements in the real estate and sustainability value chain.
MEDAI goal is to develop a leverage solution both for medical onboarding in order to eliminate all malpractice action and to give a complete control about the medical professionals and to optimize patient medical journeys within the hospitals in order to cut the unnecessary costs and to offer better professional and processual results for the medical activities done within the hospitals.
The overlying structure of the MEDAI system aims to bring together the best practices used within all hospitals no matter if they are specialized or generalist, together with the developing needs combined with the existing in use protocols to generate predictive and scenario analyses for a better future practice and an adoption of AI tools.
MEDAI aims to improve all the processes done within the hospitals by certified or learning personnel in order to eliminate all kind of professional risks and to have as much it will be possible a second medical opinion offered by AI trained to serve the specific medical needs combined with the specificity of the hospital by promoting the digitalization of processes, governance and services in the workplace.
The platform, therefore, combines digital products and services currently operating in different specific fields for the medical purpose such as diagnose, lab analyses, operating and treatments protocols and emergency and it aims to offer the best platform for learning and optimizing processes.
The project envisages two levels of innovation for each individual partner involved medical school or hospital:
-Bringing together all the performance factors existing in use right now; medical protocols, recipes used for processes, gathered specific expertise for different kinds of practices.
-Defining the best profile for each professional, defining the onboarding process for them in order to prepare the professional, to put it into the best immunology shape, to inform it about the best practices in real time.
To define the existing needs meant to fill the organizational gaps such as delays, non- conformities, malpractice in order to eliminate all mal-functionality and to decrease the risks in treatments and to reduce the time needed for healing. - Advantages and Innovations
-
MEDAI will increase the control of delivered medical processes being able to control the compliance of its medical personnel in order to eliminate any flaw in the process of qualification or immune preparation for medical activities. It will help the students to identify the needed courses for the medical area they are implied in, it will ensure a better productivity and handling the patients during their diagnose and hospitalisation, it will eliminate any malpractice due to the precise and up to date control, and it will allow through the its dashboard the communication with all the personnel, it will allow the searches and it will allow to access information within the platform for medical studies.
All the information will be protected according to the GDPR existing rules and it will be delivered according to this standard. - Sustainable Development Goals
