A Laboratory of Hygiene and Public Health from a leading Greek university is seeking partners to form a consortium for the ERASMUS+ Call for forward-looking projects, topic 7: ‘Digital education: Ethical and effective use of generative Artificial Intelligence systems in education and training’ (ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-FORWARD-DIGITAL-AI). The laboratory has extensive experience in public health research, digital health innovation, and the ethical application of AI technologies. It aims to develop a proposal for the development of guidelines, tools, and best practices for the responsible integration of generative AI in education and training. The desired expertise and roles of the partners sought are outlined below.
Technical Specification or Expertise Sought
The Laboratory seeks partners with expertise in key technological, ethical, and pedagogical aspects of AI in education. Ideal partners should have experience in the development and integration of Generative AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) for educational applications, focusing on adaptive learning technologies and AI-driven assessment tools. A strong background in AI ethics, governance, and policy development is essential, particularly regarding compliance with EU AI regulations, GDPR, and responsible AI frameworks to ensure transparency, fairness, and data privacy in digital education. Additionally, expertise in teacher training, digital literacy, and pedagogical innovation is sought, emphasizing the creation of AI-assisted teaching methodologies and capacity-building programs for educators and students.
The Laboratory is particularly interested in partners with experience in multi-stakeholder engagement, EU-funded research projects, and impact assessment to support effective policy recommendations, outreach activities, and dissemination strategies. Institutions with strong networks in public sector policy-making, education technology, and research in AI ethics will be highly valued.
