This innovative pallet makes it possible to configure in length and width the 6 dimensions specified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in the ISO 6780:2003 standard, as well as other dimensions of general use or according to specific needs of the end user, without requiring the assemble of parts, attaching modular elements or other additional accessories.
Its design maintains the platform's stability, load-bearing surface and structural robustness to withstand loads and be moved, making it permanently possible to enter from 4 sides with a pallet truck or forklift.
It consists of 3 main components that operate integrally. To obtain the desired length and width configuration, it is only necessary to pull or push the 2 components that enable the extension and retraction movement until the desired dimension is obtained.
Pallets are fundamental platforms for international trade logistics processes, but they are limited by their fixed dimensions and by the fact that there is no single universally accepted dimension, but rather the 6 that appear in the ISO standard.
As such, this new Integrated Multi-Dimension Pallet is disruptive, in that it allows end users to configure more than the 6 pallet dimensions with only 1 pallet, simply by pull or pushing the 2 components that allows the configuration of the length and width dimensions required, overcoming the limitations mentioned above.
The new Integrated Multi-Dimension Pallet overcomes the fact that:
1. There is no single universally accepted dimension;
2. Pallets are the less versatile element in logistics and supply chain;
3. The multiplicity of pallet sizes increases trade costs (World Bank).
