- Full Description
-
A Portuguese-based company has developed a global solution of GeoAI Agents powered by real-time digital twins that integrate buildings, surrounding infrastructure, climate, and environmental data. Its solution enables insurers, lenders, and asset owners to quantify, monitor, improve, and report on the resilience of buildings, infrastructure, and land portfolios worldwide, addressing both physical / climate and transition risks.
What are Physical / Climate Risks?
Physical or climate risks refer to floods, wildfires, storms, earthquakes, landslides, extreme heat, drought, and other acute or chronic hazards that can damage assets, disrupt cash flows, and increase insurance premiums or capital requirements. These risks are increasingly critical for institutions managing or financing real assets, as they directly impact asset value, operational continuity, and regulatory compliance.
What is a Resilient and Sustainable Asset? And what are Transition Risks?
An asset is considered resilient and sustainable when it aligns with climate transition and decarbonisation goals, integrates location-specific adaptation strategies, and complies with both current and emerging energy-efficiency and emissions-reduction pathways. Failure to meet these standards introduces transition risks—including asset obsolescence, stranded value, rising operational costs (energy, water, and waste), and heightened exposure to regulatory and reputational pressures.
The company’s platform delivers location-specific hazard and vulnerability assessments down to the asset level, allowing insurers and lenders to evaluate exposure to extreme events with high precision. It integrates natural capital and biodiversity intelligence to quantify ecosystem services and land-use constraints relevant to underwriting and collateral valuation. The platform also generates real-time sustainability indicators—including carbon, energy, water, and climate resilience metrics—to support insurance, credit, and investment decisions. Additionally, it offers continuous monitoring of risk evolution over time, flags material thresholds, and supports alignment with sustainability and risk reporting obligations.
Aligned with leading international sustainability and ESG frameworks, the platform incorporates the EU’s Level(s) building performance framework and CRREM decarbonisation pathways, while supporting green building standards such as LEED, BREEAM, WELL, and China 3-Star. It ensures compatibility with disclosure and compliance frameworks including the EU Taxonomy, Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and climate-related disclosure standards under TCFD and ISSB.
The company is actively seeking consulting and advisory partners—particularly those already working with insurers, banks, real estate funds, and asset owners—who are interested in embedding this SaaS solution within their service offering. Local partners would lead client relationships, implementation, and alignment with local regulatory contexts, while the Portuguese company ensures platform delivery and ongoing technical development.
To support these partnerships, the company offers commercial agreements with full technical support and API integration, as well as licensing and white-label options that include structured training, service-level agreements, and visibility over the product roadmap.
Ideal partners will have a strong track record in ESG or climate risk advisory for insurance or lending portfolios, familiarity with local or sectoral regulatory frameworks, and technical expertise in land use, sustainable construction, or retrofitting.
This partnership model is designed to combine trusted local expertise with a scalable SaaS platform—enabling measurable impact in sustainable finance and real asset management, while supporting the international expansion of a robust and high-performing technology solution. - Advantages and Innovations
