The Romanian NGO aims to develop cultural projects promoting the heritage and ethno-cultural richness of rural areas, while also providing increased access to cultural and artistic activities for inhabitants in these areas. The NGO seeks international organizations and artists in the areas of culture, arts, education, anthropology, photography and heritage to develop joint projects under Erasmus+ and Creative Europe calls. Cooperation will be based on research and development agreements.
Full Description
The Romanian NGO is a young cultural association established from the founders’ desire to support the development and rejuvenation of rural areas from an artistic and cultural perspective through creative and innovative mechanisms. The association achieves its aims by implementing projects at local and regional level.

The NGO’s project portfolio so far includes the successful completion of projects funded via national research grants which presented how traditional and artistic occupations can represent an entrepreneurial/(self-)employment opportunity in the rural setting. Young persons were engaged in various activities including the creative reconversion of objects and textiles, photography, shadows theatre, creative workshops : theatre masks, kites, candle making etc etc. An exhibition was also organized to present the community with the project results and also create the opportunity for cultural and artistic engagement in rural areas.

Following the success of its initial projects, the Romanian NGO wishes to engage deeper in the areas of anthropology and ethnography from a cultural and artistic point of view and wishes to focus on the joint development of projects in the areas of heritage, local and regional anthropology and ethnography via contemporary art, photography and other artistic means. In this context, the cultural association seeks new international organizations and artists in the areas of photography, anthropology, culture, arts, education, and heritage interested in developing joint projects under Erasmus+ and Creative Europe calls.

Cooperation will be based on research and development agreements.

Expected Role of a Partner
The Romanian NGO is interested in identifying new international organizations and artists in the areas of, culture, education, arts, anthropology, photography and heritage interested in developing joint projects under Erasmus+ and Creative Europe calls.

Potential partners could include:
- Artists, designers, architects interested in creating art around the richness of the ethnographic and anthropological environment of Romanian rural areas;
- Artists, designers, architects, or specialists in the educational and social fields interested to develop new, innovative projects in partnership with the Romanian NGO (including forming a consortium for attracting funding);
- Universities and other cultural or educational institutions interested in developing creative projects for addressing various social needs in the rural context through culture, arts, and education.
- Private and public entities interested in creating consortia for attracting non-refundable funding in the areas of culture, anthropology, ethnography, education and arts in rural areas.

Cooperation with the partners identified will be based on research and development agreements.
