General information
- Short Summary
- Romanian company producing specific fabrics, in own facilities, for protective workwear / outdoor gear / military equipment, is seeking business partners that would assist them in reaching new markets, based on commercial and/or manufacturing agreements.
- Full Description
-
Based in North-East Romania, the company is a strong competitor on the textile market, ever since 1991. Founded as a weaving mill, the company has been on a constant investment ever since, in order to assimilate as many operations as possible along the production line. Nowadays, the company is able to provide its customers with finished fabrics (washed, dyed, heat set, waterproof, flame retardant, anti-chemical, coated, laminated, printed etc.), being able to offer both competitive prices and a very high level of quality.
The company can also realise commission finishing, meaning that the fabric provided by the customer could be either washed, dyed, waterproofed, coated etc. It has, also, a small department of manufacturing, where the finished fabrics are turned into ready-to-sell products (tablecloths, covers etc.). What sets the company apart is its flexibility, meaning that it can tailor each detail to the customer's requirements, from weave pattern to the value of the water column.
As previously stated, the company specializes in weaving and textile finishing and it can provide the customer with tailor-made fabrics from all production aspects (specific weight, design, elongation, strength, color, spray test values, water column value, permeability, drapeability etc.) and also not so complicated finished products (tablecloths, covers etc.).
The company includes several departments, which can offer the following:
• Preparation and weaving department;
The company benefits from a sectional warper, semi-automatic drawing in machine and also 17 looms, of which: 3 air jets, 2 for high strength yarns, 2 Jacquards and the rest normal grippers. The vast majority (70%) of the yarn used is PET filament (spun can also be used), secondly (20%) is para-aramid (for anti-ballistic fabrics for vests and helmets) and the rest is comprised of PAN, PA, CO and other blends. Basically, any type of fiber or yarn can be woven in the existing weaving facility. A production of approx. 70.000 linear meters per month can be taken into account.
• Desizing and dyeing department;
Two HTHP Jiggers and one AP Jigger allow the dyeing of any type of fabric to any color of the Pantone range. Optically brightening is also a much requested operation which can be done on any type of fiber.
• Heat setting, padding and coating department;
The core of the finishing department is the stenter frame, where a fabric gets dried and heat set in order to give it dimensional stability. The company uses a 5 chamber stenter frame with heat exchanger unit, which is also equipped with a padder (Foulard) and coating unit (air-knife), to apply any sort of finishing (waterproof, anti-chemical, fireproof, anti-mold etc.) to the fabrics and also apply back coatings (paste and foam) for increasing the water column/hydrostatic head.
• Lamination department;
There are two ways in which the company can adhere multiple surfaces to one another. Firstly, there is the heated calender, on which an adhesive film is applied on the first fabric and then the second fabric comes in contact with it and through heat and pressure the two surfaces come together. Secondly, there is the lamination line with PUR as adhesive, which uses an embosed cylinder to apply the melted glue to the surface of the membrane in form of micro-dots, in order to preserve the breathability of the film.
• Printing department;
The company uses the technology of sublimation printing, the desired pattern being printed with disperse dyes on paper rolls and, then, the rolls and the fabric come in contact on a special calender, where the dye exhausts from the paper onto the fabric. This method of printing fabrics was specially chosen for the production of fabrics for military gear, as it offers the best rubbing fastness.
• Manufacturing
As previously stated, there is also a small manufacturing department inside the company, where common products such as tablecloths and covers are sawn (approx. 4000 pieces). - Advantages and Innovations
-
• +30 years of experience in the textile market
The expertise that the company has to offer is hard to beat! It is not only a matter of duration, but also a statement to the deep understanding of textile products and fabrics, as so many different steps of the production process are done under the same roof.
• Advising and consulting
As the company has faced so many clients from different industries and challenges throughout time and the different production stages, a vast amount of know-how has been accumulated. Therefore, the trusted engineers of the company could provide the clients with advice on improvements to their products, latest trends and cost reduction.
• Product development
This is one of the key features of this company. It is an operation that few companies on the market can do, as they only execute a certain step along the production line of the final product. This operation can be fulfilled in two different ways, either by presenting the company with a sample that the customer would like to have reproduced from a different supplier, or maybe just wants an improved version of it, or the second one, which consists of stating very clearly the desired parameters that the fabric should achieve.
• Vertical company
All the operations along the production process, from weaving to the final inspection and packaging of the fabric, are done in house. This gives more control in cutting costs, production time and better tailoring of the product to the customer's requirements. - Stage of Development

Partner Sought
- Expected Role of a Partner
-
The company is on the search for trustworthy companies, which have custom orders themselves (ex: specific colour codes, designs, composition etc.), to develop long lasting business deals. Of course, sustainability and quality standards such as ISO 9001, Oeko-TEX 100 are provided and only water-based chemicals, which are also Blue-Sign, GOTS and REACH compliant, are used in the finishing department.
The INDUSTRIES which the company can serve the best are detailed below, so any companies/distributors/commercial agencies representing them can be of interest for long-lasting partnerships:
• Sun shading
This refers to producers of awnings and umbrellas. The company has specific expertise in this field of activity and is more than aware of all the challenges (light fastness, weather fastness etc.) such partners face in their everyday activity. Also, the selection of fibers (PES mainly and PAN) and the necessary finishes (ready-to-print, optically brightened, RAL/Pantone color code etc.) are already in its portfolio.
• Outdoor furniture/equipment
Even if there are outdoor furniture items (pillows, bean bags, covers etc.) or equipment (tents, backpacks etc.), they all have one thing in common and that is the resistance to UV. Aspects such as waterproofing and resistance to rubbing come in second place, but are also key features that must be taken into account. A very interesting niche that the producer is able to serve is the one for campervans, where multiple fabrics are needed, all being weather resistant.
• Protective workwear
The company has extensive expertise in working for this field of activity. Polycottons in any ratio can be woven and finished (dyed, treated etc.). Also, more evolved fabrics for this domain can be produced such as inherent flame retardant fabrics (modacrylic, m-aramid etc.), elastic fabrics (PBT-based) and also anti-static fabrics (grid made of conductive yarns).
• Military equipment/gear
The company is able to provide the future partner with any type of fabric needed for this domain. From polycottons and printed fabrics for uniforms, to bulletproof fabrics for anti-ballistic vests and anti-ballistic helmets, to bulletproof panels for the armoured vehicles and last but not least, fabrics for military tents and also their liners (anti-mould, waterproof, flame retardant, coated etc.).
• Hospitality
Personalised napkins, table runners, tablecloths and many other such products can be woven on the Jacquard machines of the company. The logo of the customer is edited by the development department and then woven into the fabric. Also, the colours of the brand can be followed by using coloured yarns, or by dyeing the fabric in piece.
• Retail
The company also offers small scale manufacturing. Any distributor could provide to the company a certain design / fabric composition / dimension etc. and then, the company can develop the product and pack and label it to be ready to be presented on the shelf of the department store.
In case of commercial agency agreement
Role of the potential partner: Should have contacts with wholesalers and retailers, be experienced in sales in the textile sector. It should represent the products of the Romanian company on its respective market.
In case of manufacturing agreement
Type of partner sought: representative companies/distributors/commercial agencies from any above indicated industries in need of a company which can provide specific fabrics produced in own facilities, for protective workwear / outdoor gear, military equipment etc.
Role of the potential partner: Willingness to locate its production process or part of it in Romania. The partner is expected to provide specification of needed product. Reliability and intention of long-term collaboration will be appreciated. - Type and Size of Partner
