With over a decade of experience in Horizon Europe and similar calls, Research Group focuses on two main research areas: Health and Well-Being 4.0.
In the field of ICTs for Well-Being, the group designs, develops, and tests AI-driven tools and platforms to empower disabled individuals and the elderly, fostering independent living. Current projects involve the creation of apps and devices for informal learning, person-centered care programs, and telemedicine systems. This applied research extends to diverse groups, including people with intellectual disabilities, autism, visual impairments, hearing impairments, and multiple sclerosis, showcasing our commitment to leveraging AI for inclusive and impactful solutions. Our expertise in AI is in both, classical and quantum computer.
In the health sector, the group specializes in creating diagnostic tools and interventions for conditions like skin and lung cancer, epilepsy, migraines, dyslexia, and bed sores. Our research integrates cutting-edge technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced biosignal processing. This approach involves meticulous analysis of signals such as speech, ECG, EMG, EEG, and medical imaging modalities like MRI, neuro fMRI, dermoscopy, and stroboscopy images.
