Short Summary
A Swiss organisation is looking for European manufacturers, artisans, factories of jewellery subcomponents and complete jewellery pieces interested in replacing non-sustainable materials with socially responsible, or climate-neutral and sustainable alternatives to meet the demand of an expanding e-commerce platform managed by the Swiss NGO. Commercial agreement with technical assistance or R&D cooperation are sought.
Full Description
A Swiss NGO seeks manufacturers, artisans, and factories in Europe or in neighbouring countries also in order to reduce the environmental impact of goods transport producing fully assembly jewels and subcomponents for the jewellery industry, such as piercing rings, clasps, fastenings, chains, rings, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, ear chains, nose chains, etc.

These products should be made from eco-responsible materials, ensuring they meet high standards of social responsibility and climate neutrality, using:
• precious metals sourced from Europe or recycled (circular economy),
• crystals of European origin.

A list of verified suppliers is available on the e-commerce platform created by the Swiss NGO in order to offer eco-responsible products, crafted from recycled and ethically sourced materials, and to help the transition of the jewellery industry towards a model that prioritizes ecological responsibility and sustainability.

The manufacturers, artisans, factories should:
- be able to work with European-origin precious metals, and crystals, ensuring high quality and durability.
- have experience in collaborating on new designs that meet specific environmental and social responsibility criteria.
- have the capacity to scale production to meet the demands of an expanding e-commerce platform.
- have the knowledge of sustainable production practices and compliance with relevant environmental standards.

These products will then be available on the online store, providing customers with ethically, eco-responsible and short-circuit alternatives, accordingly to standards and regulations regarding sustainability, ethics, eco-responsibility (i.e Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation Making sustainable products in the EU the norm https://commission.europa.eu/energy-climate-change-environment/standards-tools-and-labels/products-labelling-rules-and-requirements/ecodesign-sustainable-products-regulation_en).

Support for development cooperation projects in order to meet specific environmental and social responsibility criteria as well as production requirement can be discussed with the NGO.
