A Slovenian company is mainly engaged in the production of various seats and seat safety cages for buses, trucks, motorhomes etc.
The company is looking for a partner to enter into a Commercial agreement with technical assistance. The desired outcome of this cooperation would be one in which the partner provides the Slovenian company with assistance in designing/testing their safety cages for bus/truck/RV seats.
The company uses the program SolidWorks for the design and analysis of their products, but without the upgraded modules for (crash test) simulation and is looking for a partner who could provide that kind of simulation. It is important that the potential partner also provides safety certificate(s), so that the company can demonstrate that their products for buses, RVs etc. are safe to use (at least) in EU.
The potential partner must also provide an option for this simulation to be integrated with an optimisation algorithm for the purpose of iterative design improvement through the changes of design parameters (material thickness for example). Therefore, the potential partner must be open and willing to provide input/plugin/channel through which the design parameters can be iteratively changed in a simulator-optimiser loop by a third party so that the product can be optimised.
The company already cooperates with a partner (a Public Research Institution - PRO) capable of optimising the design parameters in order to make the product as light as possible and still meeting the (safety) standards. However, the company is looking for a partner that can provide simulation and certification, since the PRO cannot provide simulation and certification, just the iterative optimisation of parameters based on simulation.
The end goal is to design a safety cage for the seats that would pass the certificate, safety standards or even real (physical) crash-test.
