General information

Short Summary
A private technology company based in Madrid (Spain) dedicated to the coating of surfaces with ultra-pure nanostructures for high added value applications has developed a physical method that makes it possible to produce coatings without any type of impurity, controlling homogeneity with great precision, and without generating any residue in the process. They are looking for partners interested in the application of this technology in the fields of aerospace, electrodes, sensors & nanomedicine.
Full Description
A Spanish company located in Madrid is specialized in the research, development and commercialization of high added nanoparticles and nanostructured coatings. The fabricated nanoparticles are completely free of ligands on their surface, which makes them especially suitable for applications in different fields, such as the aerospace sector, energy and nanomedicine.

The company has built a specific equipment where pieces can be introduced. Thanks to ultra-high vacuum sputtering technology, they can generate a beam of nanoparticles that will coat the previously introduced piece. This technology makes it possible to coat surfaces with nanostructures with high precision and cleanliness. Furthermore, this technology allows the synthesis of different nanostructures (nanoparticles and nanocolumns), as well as a variety of different compositions and alloys.

Finally, it is important to highlight that this technology is patented. Specifically, the stable production of nanoparticles over time is protected. This factor is crucial to be able to exploit the technology industrially.

This technology is focused on high value-added applications such as aerospace, electrode manufacturing, sensors and nanomedicine (implants and prostheses).

Currently, they are looking for partners in projects related to these areas where they can become suppliers of other technology companies that require this type of high added value coatings.

There are currently a large number of companies involved in the manufacture and commercialisation of nanoparticles and nanostructures. The problem is that chemical synthesis methods are often used and this entails several limitations:

-The surface of nanostructures may contain impurities or ligands.

-It is difficult to control the homogeneity and distribution of the nanostructures.

-The use of chemical reagents and solvents can generate environmentally toxic residues.
Advantages and Innovations
The technology is a physical method stable over time for the synthesis of ultrapure nanoparticles that overcomes all the limitations of chemical methods:

-Production of ultrapure nanostructures without any impurity or ligand on the surface.

-Homogeneity and control of nanoparticle size, allowing for highly precise deposits in terms of the amount of deposited nanostructures, and high reproducibility.

-This technology is a physical methodology, which does not use any solvents or chemical reagents, so no waste is generated in the manufacturing process; this means that it is an environmentally friendly technology that guarantees long-term sustainable scalability.
