General information

Short Summary
Two Spanish SMEs and one RTO have developed a use case to demonstrate the integration of several renewable technologies in a trigeneration system. The demo case includes its integration in a public building, where the integration/communication of the devices will be optimized, applying intelligent management and predictive strategies to improve the performance. They look for entities interested in preparing a project proposal to the call HORIZON-CL5-2024-D4-01-02 Smart-grid building.
Full Description
Two Spanish SMEs from the renewable energies sector have developed and optimized the management of a trigeneration system using renewable energies, which will provide heating, cooling and electric power. The incorporation of a research technology organisation to the group helps them to bring the developed solution to the next step, which will allow them to integrate the whole system in a public building, optimise the integration and communication of all devices, apply intelligent management and predictive strategies to improve the performance of the whole system, etc.

All the involved organisations have a long experience on R&D programmes and they are looking for a consortium preparing a project in the scope of the mention field, to further develop the system and get closer to a commercial solution. The project proposal fits in the scope of the call HORIZON-CL5-2024-D4-01-02 Smart-grid building but could be also fit other similar EU calls.
Advantages and Innovations
The proposed trigeneration system provides energy to partially cover heating, cooling and electrical demand in high-consumption buildings with daily profile, as the public case proposed. The innovative technological configuration, together with the smart algorithms for the management and predictive performance, bring the opportunity to reduce the consumption from the grid and optimize the selection of RES (renewable energy sources) technologies in general buildings.
