General information

Short Summary
This project uses precision fermentation to transform drought-resistant and underutilized grains into consumable products, addressing food supply challenges and helping meet food supply demands.
Full Description
This project focuses on overcoming the challenges related to the use of drought-resistant and underutilized grains by utilizing precision fermentation and formulation development. These grains, while resilient in harsh conditions, often present difficulties in terms of consumption and processing. Through precision fermentation, we aim to transform these grains into viable, consumable end products. The outcome will be an innovative solution under crisis conditions by providing an alternative food source and contributing to the diversification of the food palette.

In addition to these, the project owner-coordinator is a public university. Within the frame of project, a scientific consultant is being engaged in connection with activities such as project development, quality control, and partner search. In this announcement, the coordinator-consultant collaboration was prepared and issued through the consultant.
Advantages and Innovations
This project offers a significant innovation by enabling more efficient use of drought-resistant and underutilized grains in food production. Precision fermentation technology enhances the processability and consumability of these grains, transforming them into nutritious and flavorful end products. This approach provides a more sustainable and efficient solution compared to traditional food production methods. Additionally, it offers a new alternative to meet food supply demands, especially in crisis situations, contributing to food security and the diversification of food options. This innovation can be integrated into existing food production
