General information
- Short Summary
- A Turkish SME and university are looking for project partners (industry and academia) for the TUBITAK – Malaysian Industry-Government High Technology Group (MIGHT) Bilateral Cooperation Call opened within the scope of Türkiye-Malaysia bilateral cooperation. The SME will take part in alloy development with numerical modeling solutions in the field of computational materials engineering, while the university will take part in sample production.
- Full Description
-
With the developing technology, the service requirements of engineering components are constantly evolving. As a result, the properties of existing materials are becoming inadequate, which leads to an increase in the demand for the development of new materials. The call opened within the scope of Türkiye-Malaysia bilateral cooperation aims to present projects on ""New Materials for Aviation"".
There are four proposals for the project from Turkish SMEs. The proposal will be made by deciding on these proposals according to the project consortium.
-New Generation Aluminum Alloys (Al-Mg-Er-Ag),
-Nickel Based Super Alloys (Ni-Cr-Co-Al),
-High Entropy Alloys (CoCrNi-XY),
-TiAl-XY
Turkish SME: Alloy Development
Turkish University: Sample Production
Malaysian SME and University: Characterization, Prototyping/Field Testing
Organizations or institutions with expertise in these areas are kindly invited to collaborate within the framework of this bilateral R&D initiative. - Advantages and Innovations
-
The aim of this project is focused on alloy development and characterization under the title of "New Materials for Aviation" in the call opened within the scope of Turkey-Malaysia bilateral cooperation.
Within the scope of the project, temperature-dependent material properties of the alloy will be calculated using computational material engineering technologies in a numerical modeling environment. After this calculation, the chemical composition ratio of the alloy will be determined. Samples will be obtained by making trial productions of the alloy whose chemical composition ratio is determined.
Since the main focus of the project is "New Materials for Aviation", universities and industrial organizations in Malaysia that operate and work in this field are sought. In this case, two project partners are sought from Malaysia, one university and one industrial organization.
Characterization of the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy from our partners in Malaysia may be the application of the heat treatment process. While the university provides support on the characterization side, the industrial side may provide support in heat treatment studies. Or, while the university carries out the characterization and heat treatment studies, the industrial organization may undertake the production of prototypes or field tests. - Technical Specification or Expertise Sought
