General information

Short Summary
A Turkish SME is looking for a partner under the 2+2 (SME + University) framework within the scope of the Turkey-Greece bilateral cooperation initiative. The Turkish SME will develop a high entropy alloy using computational material engineering technology, while the Turkish University partner will provide the production of the alloy by arc melting method.
The Turkish partners are looking for: Greek SME and University partners capable of applying characterization and heat treatment processes.
Full Description
A Turkish SME, in collaboration with a Turkish University, is looking for project partners under the 2+2 (SME + University) framework within the scope of the Turkey-Greece bilateral cooperation initiative. The aim is to develop high entropy alloys and study their properties through computational material engineering and experimental processes.

Turkish SME:
The SME will focus on developing high entropy alloys using computational material engineering technology. Two primary alloy groups are targeted:

Ni-Cr-Co-Al-XY

Co-Cr-Ni-XY

The temperature-dependent material properties of these alloys will be analyzed in a numerical modeling environment, and optimum chemical composition ratios will be determined. Key aspects to be examined include:

Temperature-dependent phase fraction of the alloy

Critical transformation temperatures of the phases

Information and amount of phases

Elemental distributions

Turkish University:
The University will carry out the sample production of the developed alloys using the arc melting method. They will also perform chemical composition measurements and XRD analyses on the produced samples. Detailed characterization packages of the alloys, including chemical composition and phase compatibility, will be provided to Greek project partners.

Alternatively, the Turkish University can examine all material properties of the alloys in the cast state. After casting, Greek partners can conduct characterization by applying heat treatment and secondary metallurgical processes (e.g., hot forging + heat treatment). This will allow a comprehensive investigation of the effects of both casting and secondary processes on the alloys.

Looking for Greek Partners:

Greek SME and University partners who can conduct the characterization of the alloys through heat treatment and secondary metallurgical processes.

Expertise required in material characterization, heat treatment, and secondary metallurgical processes.
Advantages and Innovations
The aim of this project is focused on alloy development and characterization under the title of "Advanced Materials" in the call opened within the scope of Turkey-Greece bilateral cooperation.

Within the scope of the project, the temperature-dependent material properties of the alloy will be calculated using computational material engineering technologies in a numerical modeling environment. After this calculation, the chemical composition ratio of the alloy will be determined. Samples will be obtained by making trial productions of the alloy whose chemical composition ratio has been determined.

Since the main focus of the project is "Advanced Materials", universities and industrial organizations operating and working in this field in Greece are sought. In this case, two project partners are sought from Greece, one university and one industrial organization."
