General information

Short Summary
The project aims to develop an educational toy in which augmented reality technology will be actively used. The toy will provide teaching of basic chemistry concepts. It is aimed to learn the elements of the periodic table, which are the basic subjects of chemistry, in an entertaining way through this toy.
Full Description
The project aims to design a boxed toy that includes two cubes and a user manual. Upon purchasing the toy, users can download a free mobile application for Android and iOS platforms using the QR code provided in the user manual.

With the mobile application, users can interact with the toy by holding the cubes up to the camera of their mobile device. The app allows users to select from a list of elements—carbon, hydrogen, or oxygen. By moving the cubes closer together or farther apart, users will receive interactive and animated details, animations, and other important information about the selected element.
Advantages and Innovations
There are very few toys in the world that utilize AR technology, and none have been developed specifically for basic chemistry education. The majority of the global toy market consists of plastic products, with a smaller portion made from materials like wood or fabric. Even fewer toys integrate technology with traditional production methods. The toy envisioned for this project will combine high-quality wood or plastic, with a mobile application that uses augmented reality technology.
