General information
- Short Summary
- UK SME active in renewable energy and smart-infrastructure engineering offers a patented kinetic road energy-harvesting system that converts vehicular movement into clean electricity. The modular system, energy management dashboard and full O&M support are ready for installation on areas of high traffic such as highways, car parks and logistics hubs worldwide. The company seeks distribution services agreements with experienced infrastructure partners.
- Full Description
-
UK SME dedicated to turning wasted motion into clean electricity. Formed by a multidisciplinary team with backgrounds in infrastructure, energy systems, and product commercialisation. Its patented platform captures the vertical deflection created when vehicles roll over modular road pads, translating it through a sealed linkage and magneto-dynamic generator into grid-quality power. Two product lines are market-ready:
• Heavy Version – (8 m–21m) optimised for slow-moving HGVs at ports, logistics hubs and industrial gates; one system can yield ≈ 84 000–253 000 kWh yr⁻¹, giving operators fixed-price electricity and CO₂ savings of ~200 t yr⁻¹.
• Light Version – slimmer modules (4 m–12 m) for cars, vans and buses in city streets, roundabouts or retail parks, producing 28 000–85 000 kWh yr⁻¹ for lighting, EV chargers and IoT devices.
Both versions sit flush with the carriageway, install overnight and are certified IP68. Independent durability, safety and energy-yield tests by the UK Transport Research Laboratory are under way, with completion scheduled for Q3 2025. Field trials show no measurable impact on vehicle fuel consumption.
Commercial status
• Technology readiness: TRL 7–8; first commercial Heavy version order (US $100 k) signed, two further proposals in negotiation; pipeline > 60 qualified leads.
• Manufacturing: Regional hubs planned in the UK, USA and Malaysia to scale beyond 7 500 modules/quarter.
• IP: six granted patents in the UK, US and EU plus new filings covering advanced linkage geometry and registered trademarks.
Co-operation sought – Distribution services agreements (and, longer-term, licensing/Energy-as-a-Service partnerships) with companies that:
• sell or integrate intelligent-transport, micro-grid or civil-infrastructure solutions;
• can manage basic civils, installation and first-line maintenance;
• maintain relationships with ports, distribution centres, service-station networks or municipal road authorities.
How the partnership will work
Our company supplies fully assembled units. The distributor secures local permits, contracts installation crews and provides spares logistics. Annual volume targets (negotiable) unlock exclusive territories; performance data feeds joint case-studies, and we offer second-level engineering support plus continuous product upgrades.
Desired outcome
Within five years the company aims to deploy 50 000 Road Units worldwide. Partners gain a differentiated, high-margin product that complements solar, storage and EV offerings, while customers receive resilient, on-site renewable power with paybacks under four years.
Key success metrics: units shipped, kWh generated and customer-satisfaction scores. - Advantages and Innovations
-
Our platform captures otherwise wasted vehicular motion and turns it into on site, zero carbon power, giving it decisive edges over both direct rivals and mainstream renewables.
Advantages & innovations
• Predictable, weather proof output – energy is generated every time a wheel passes, so yields are constant around the clock and avoid the large batteries that solar or wind need in space constrained sites.
• Low capex, overnight installation – shallow, modular pads sit flush with existing asphalt, require no planning consent or towers, and deliver <4 year payback, whereas solar/wind need more land, permits and higher upfront spend.
• Power at the point of use – electricity is delivered metres from lighting, chargers or cranes, cutting transmission losses and grid connection fees while locking in a predictable energy price.
• Negligible vehicle impact – independent TRL testing shows the micro deflection adds no material drag or fuel penalty and does not accelerate road wear.
• Defensible IP moat – six granted patents in the UK, EU and US, plus new 2024 filings and registered trademarks, secure the core mechanics and brand.
• Outperforms direct competitors – Our system yields more kWh, installs faster and scales better than any other road energy harvesting system.
• Lifecycle sustainability – modules are >90 % recyclable and match solar’s carbon intensity without intermittency, working alongside existing renewables to build resilient microgrids.
These combined technical, economic and environmental strengths give distributors and end users a differentiated, high margin solution that competitors cannot match, reinforcing our leadership in decentralised, motion powered generation. - Stage of Development

Partner Sought
- Expected Role of a Partner
-
The partner will act as a distributor for the company’s innovative road energy-harvesting system. They will be responsible for identifying and securing suitable deployment locations, managing basic civil works and installation logistics, and providing first-line maintenance and local support. Ideal partners will already operate within the infrastructure, transport, renewable energy, or smart city sectors and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders—such as local authorities, logistics operators, or commercial site owners.
The distributor will handle:
• Local permitting and regulatory compliance
• Coordination of installation teams
• Customer relationship management and after-sales support
• Storage and delivery of spare parts
• Promotion and integration of the system within their wider infrastructure or energy solutions portfolio
In return, the partner will gain access to a differentiated, high-margin product, with opportunities for exclusive distribution in agreed territories based on performance. Technical training, marketing support, and second-level engineering assistance will be provided to ensure successful deployment and customer satisfaction. - Type and Size of Partner
