General information

Short Summary
UK-based environmental consultancy offers environmental dust monitoring equipment and services. Seeks partners or distributors in countries with established or emerging demand under commercial and licensing agreements for its stickypad dust soiling measurement system, using its proprietary software.
Full Description
A UK-based, employee-owned consultancy specialises in environmental dust monitoring in the mining and quarrying industries. The wider company provides a combination of ambient and indoor monitoring, forensic analysis, and reporting services tailored to meet regulatory and industrial needs in many industries.

The company has developed products and methodologies under registered trademarks, for sampling and analysing environmental airborne dust in-flux and deposited dust. The system is a dry method for measuring dust soiling and deposition rates from the field for analysis in a laboratory. The exposed stickypads are scanned in a laboratory to provide a measurement of dust soiling. The system differs from commonly used bucket gauge systems because it primarily measures soiling (the human visual response to dirtying of surfaces etc) and it is proprietary – it cannot be copied. The system is quality controlled and recognised by the UK government. The solution is used by both private companies and regulators to assess fugitive dust propagation and visual soiling impacts (annoyance/nuisance). The measurement service can be used to help assess environmental compliance, baseline conditions for planned developments, and manage industrial processes. Stickypads are also used to collect physical dust samples for subsequent geochemical analyses.

The business is looking for international partners or distributors that have environmental monitoring laboratories or consultancy services in markets with or without comparable legislation, regulatory practices, and public sensitivity to environmental quality. These territories should ideally already have an existing demand for dust and air quality services, or signs of increasing demand.

Ideal partners or distributors are expected to:
• Already operate or want to start an environmental service laboratory;
• Promote and resell the UK company’s monitoring equipment;
• License and use the company’s software and methodology for analysing samples. Additional laboratory analysis methodologies may be shared by agreement; and
• Report results to their own clients locally.

Partners or distributors will benefit from a technical training and onboarding programme, marketing support, and ongoing access to the company’s expertise.

The desired outcome is to expand international reach by establishing a network of capable, technically aligned partners or distributors who can deliver environmental monitoring solutions with the same precision and methodology developed and used in the UK.

Partner Sought

Expected Role of a Partner
Partners or distributors may be governmental, non-governmental, research organisations and companies. Partners or Distributors will be fully trained in the use of the products, methodologies, systems, and processes and will be required to maintain the quality of their work at all times. Where the partner is a for-profit entity, it should actively promote and market the company’s air and dust monitoring equipment and services. They will purchase and distribute the products in their local market, licence the analytical software, conduct client sample analysis, and provide reporting. A good understanding of national environmental regulations and an established client network are highly desirable. The partner should be technically capable and commercially motivated to expand local operations using the UK firm’s proven solutions.
