The UK business specialising in educational software as a service was founded after extensive searches concluded there were no products that provided teachers with complete lesson plans for Computing and computer sciences in key stage 1, 2, 3 &4.
Most funding had been pushed into core subjects such as Maths, English and Science. Nearly 35% of all computer lessons are taught by non-specialists, so the company sought to exploit the demand to develop tools, to support teaching in these subjects are by non-specialist teachers.
This has resulted in the development of:
• 750 tick-as-you-teach Lesson Plan, these cover the entire lesson and can be followed by a non-specialist as well as specialists. "Tick as you teach" lesson plans are complete with all resources and answers, by ticking each part of the lesson you always know where you are with each group. All made in line with Ofsted requirements.
• All work is Auto marked, this saves the teacher many hours allowing them to concentrate on the support of the students in class.
• Tracking and monitoring is key to all teaching and both the teacher and students are shown how they are progressing.
• Deep Dive Documents are those that are needed by a department in school and are required by an Ofsted Inspection team.
• Differentiation – All lessons contain 3 pathways, A for higher ability, B for middle ability and C for lower ability, allowing ALL students to access the curriculum.
The company is looking to expand their business global partnership via commercial agency agreement/joint venture/or licence agreement that may include, for example, the application of the software platform as part of a process of end user self-evaluation i.e., in achieving an accredited or regulatory standards.
