They are looking to partner with a Canadian Software Development SME with expertise in FinTech/RegTech digital solutions development (e.g. DLT, blockchain). Together with a Canadian partner they would like to apply for Canada-UK Collaborative R&D funding opportunity that is currently open for submission (until 16 April 2025).
Full Description
The company’s objective is to develop an innovative Know Your Customer (KYC) ecosystem that uses a distributed ledger technology platform to automate the verification of KYC documentation for individuals and businesses.

There is a collaborative funding opportunity currently open to organisations from Canada and the UK who wish to form project consortia to perform collaborative projects focused on developing innovative products, processes, or technology-based services in the area of life sciences, digital and emerging, and sustainability and net zero technologies. Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, will work with the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to invest up to £3 million in innovation projects.

The company would like to get involved in this competition and is seeking for a partner that is a Canadian Software Development SME with an expertise in FinTech/RegTech digital solutions development (e.g. DLT, blockchain). The expected duration of the project is 12-24 months, and it should start by 1st September 2025 and end by 31 August 2027. Maximum grant funding request for UK companies is £300 000 and CA$500,000 for Canadian partners.

The deadline for EOI is 16 March 2025.

The deadline to apply for the Canada-UK Collaborative R&D funding is 16 April 2025.
