This Greek company was established by electronic and computer engineers specialized in data communication systems. The company’s strength is based on the collaboration it has established with research laboratories hosted in institutes and universities across the country. It contributes to scientific research in various fields, including agrifood, by pitching in with other players in order to produce innovative and original products or services. The company’s core personnel have participated in more than 25 EU-funded projects.
The company has developed a weather station that offers a complete solution for the acquisition of real-time weather data in the field. Its functions have been configured based on the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) recommended measurement practices. Therefore, it allows the realization of an accurate weather overview using high-quality sensors able to withstand even the most demanding conditions. Its ultra small size, mounting flexibility and autonomous operation (without the need for a separate power supply) make it easy to install and operate. Using standardized wireless network technology, it transmits the measurements to the cloud through its dedicated gateway.
The client is interested in offering this market-ready device to end-users (i.e. farms, agricultural units of all types) via commercial agreements along with all the relevant technical support and assistance for installation and operation. - Advantages and Innovations

The weather data measuring station incorporates the following innovative features:-
• data acquisition, according to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) algorithms, can be transmitted every 10 minutes
• ultra small, compact and lightweight device
• transmits data directly to the cloud, therefore no data loggers are required
• solar-powered with common AA batteries as power supply backup, therefore no wires required
• pole-mounted with configurable height and orientation for each component
• operating temperature range from -25°C to +50°C
• configured to produce very accurate data with very low margins of error.
