From the outset in 2018, RanMarine envisioned a future where waterways could be free of pollution. With their cutting-edge autonomous surface vehicle (ASV), they aimed to rid lakes, ponds, and harbours of floating debris and pollutants. Their vision found a solid foundation with the support of the Dutch branch of the Enterprise Europe Network Netherlands. The Network facilitated essential connections, guided funding applications, and assisted RanMarine in the EIC Accelerator pilot Green Deal project WasteShark, providing the much-needed initial boost.

In 2022, the pivotal moment arrived when Network partner N-Bank from Enterprise Europe Network Niedersachsen connected RanMarine with German company Berky GmbH. Berky's involvement meant an expansion in their clean-up efforts, targeting even the smallest biomass waste materials, enhancing their efficiency by up to 15%. This synergy not only refined their technology but also increased RanMarine’s turnover by EUR 220,000.
