A perfect match for online publishing

Norwegian SME eZ Systems had successfully sold its online Content Management Systems to some of the biggest and best known global publishing houses. The Norwegian solution was already enabling companies like National Geographic and Financial Times to maintain attractive, relevant and up to date content on their websites.

Keen to stay ahead of the game in this competitive market, the company was looking for a technology partner that could bring additional functionalities to its product.

eZ systems contacted Enterprise Europe Network in Norway for help. An adviser in Skien was able to reach out to the Enterprise Europe Network partner in Hungary. Here, local SME Flan Technologies was seeking to commercialize its cutting edge technology for real-time monitoring of webpage traffic but - as a newcomer on the market - was struggling to seal a deal. Thanks to the efficient action of the network, the companies discovered a perfect match.

Flan Technologies discovered that they could offer their services as an add-on tool to Content Management System used by some of the largest newspapers and publishing houses. eZ Systems could now offer their customers a ground-breaking new technology that could generate a substantial increase in their income from advertising. The resulting product has since won a prestigious award in the U.S.A, recognizing its innovation, originality, ease of application and practicality.

The Hungarian company is expecting to increase their turnover in 2014 by four times compared to 2013. As for eZ Systems, it saw a 15 percent increase in 2013, has bought part of the shares in Flan Technologies and is now working on establishing a marketing unit of Flan Technologies in Norway.

Aleksander Farstad, CEO eZ Systems said: "EZ's cooperation with Flan Technologies has been vital to sustain our growth and attract new customers. The two products together have taken our customers by storm, making information about traffic on their web-pages easily accessible to non-experts in real time and increasing their income."
