This group of experts focus on transitioning the construction industry through collaborative activities. It covers contractors for building and infrastructure projects, some construction product manufacturers, engineering and architectural services as well as a range of other economic activities (e.g. rental and leasing of machinery and equipment, employment agencies)

Events & Fairs

Projects

  • Involved in several EU-funded projects either as partners or consultants, focusing on sustainable construction practices and technological innovations.

  • Significant projects include i-Climabuilt, Exploit4Innomat, OpenDBL, and CETMA DIHSME.

Workshops and Training

  • Conducts workshops such as "Green Tech Days meet Future of Building" and "Bauklima-Kommunal" to enhance municipal climate protection through sustainable construction.

  • Provides decentralised training designed to improve advisors' skills in sustainability, focusing on the construction industry's circular economy.

Achievements

  • Successfully organised the Build& Connect 2024 summit with 589 participants from 17 countries and numerous B2B meetings promoting sustainable building practices.

  • Facilitated multiple transnational projects and meetings to encourage cross-border collaboration among SMEs and construction professionals.

How we work

  • The group operates with a "core group" of co-chairs who coordinate activities and keep the group active amidst leadership transitions.

  • Meetings are held both on-site and virtually.

  • Members are encouraged to collaborate through various platforms, including virtual meetings, brokerage events, and direct participation in fairs.
