Who we are
The group supports innovation, sustainability, and cross-border collaboration in the construction sector. The group serves all construction professionals: architects, industrialists, contractors, installers, planners, real estate professionals, project owners, researchers, students, elected officials, and institutions. The focus is on decarbonization, sustainable materials, circular economy, energy efficiency, and digital transformation.
The construction sector in Europe
With 3.5 million companies, 12.7 million employees and a turnover of 1.6 trillion Euros, construction is a key factor for reaching the Green Deal Goals in Europe and a successful green transition. With 36% of the overall emissions and still very high resource consumption, there’s high potential in the construction sector for significant reduction. Especially the SMEs, that represent 99 % of all construction companies, need support for achieving these goals.
How we work
- Coordination and support for international brokerage and matchmaking events
- Participation in EU-funded projects supporting innovation in construction
- Sharing best practices and updates on regulatory changes via newsletters and workshops
- Organisation of virtual and on-site meetings for knowledge exchange and networking.
